Purposely Immature
"How do you know you were successful today?" a close friend once asked me.
"Because I did what I wanted to do," I responded.
That seems immature on the surface. But "doing what I want to do" is designed with a purpose in mind.
"Doing what I want to do" is actually "doing what I need to do."
I believe that my purpose is a critical contribution to the world and needs to be done.
It feels selfish to me not to do it.
It feels like a waste of my body, mind, and spirit not to do it.
It needs to be done.
Measure your day by what needs to be done.
