Seeing Success

My right eye darts around like a scared cat when I put my finger on it.

It just won't stay still.

It kind of stings a little too.

Starting at the age of 7, I've been hit in that right eye at least 3 times.

I don't believe in too many things I can't see (pun), but there has to be some sort of beacon in my eye for attracting UFOs. I mean what has 2 thumbs and loses count of how many times they've been directly hit in the eye?! 🙋‍♂️ This guy.

Anyway, I wore contacts until I was like 20 and then I stopped. The reason I stopped has to do with a girl and a beach, but it's a boring story so I won't tell you about that here.

I started wearing contacts again a few weeks ago.

Just out of habit I will try to put the right contact in first. It's a 50/50 shot if I will have success or play the game of "do I put my right contact back in the solution and try again after I get the left one in."

Usually after having failed more than 3 times...counting past 3 seems like an overrated skill...I will put the contact back in the solution.

I will then start poking at my left eye with my left contact. My left eye lacks whatever beacon my right eye has because I've been hit less than 3 times in that eye.

Anyway, I usually get the left contact onto my left eyeball on the 1st try (I know it's the 1st try because I don't have to count). My left eye stays still allowing the contact to easily conform to the sphere of color around my eyeball.

I then will reach down to get my right contact for the 2nd time and guess what?

Miraculously, my right contact covers the colored sphere of my right eye like it knew how to receive an alien object onto it the whole time.

TL;DR

We all know about success.

We all read about success.

We all see success real or fake on INSERTsocialMEDIAchannelHERE #everyday.

But, until you have a vision of what success looks like, it's hard to achieve success on your own.

You need to see how to win in order to win.
